Subject: Great sound, fine performance....
Too bad both sets aren't available! Deni Bonet plays beautifully, Robyn sings well, & the acoustic magic takes hold memorably. Especially strong are "Luxor" selections, a lovely "Arms of Love" with Deni Bonet, & Robyn's usual fun with "Give Me a Spanner, Ralph." Guitar is sharp but not too trebly, voice well balanced against the rest, & the set list distinctive. Enjoy!

Notes

This was the first of two shows played at Maxwell's on 1/9/2004. Unfortunately I didn't tape the second show due to other obligations, but there are sources.

(mics spread ~ 17cm @ 90 degrees, 7 feet high just forward of soundboard)

Notes: Robyn played a mostly acoustic set joined by Deni Bonet on violin as noted. Experienced a battery problem during the chatter after "Sinister". I patched it together in CoolEdit but there is some missing bits. Sorry 'bout that.
